Professor Stacy Carter

Professor Stacy Carter is the Director for the Australian Centre for Health Engagement, Evidence and Values (ACHEEV) at the University of Wollongong. ACHEEV is the leading centre for high-quality deliberative and values-based research in health and health policy in the Asia-Pacific region.

Stacy’s training is in public health, and her expertise is in qualitative and deliberative methodologies, public health ethics feminist bioethics and empirical ethics. She co-leads the Empirical Ethics stream of the Australasian Association of Bioethics and Health Law. 

Her research focuses on data, technology and health futures, and on reducing overdiagnosis, overuse and low value healthcare.
