Work Package 7
Method and Valuation Study
Work Package 7 will use qualitative and quantitative experimental methods to identify appropriate methods to value health states in child populations, and to derive Australian tariffs for key health-related quality of life measures developed for childhood. By comparing different valuation techniques for eliciting preference in children, adolescents, proxies (someone who represent the child/adolescent), and the general public, this work package will address questions such as: at what age can children complete the tasks?
For children who are unable to complete the tasks because they are too young, can their caregiver respond on behalf of children? Subsequently, quantitative data collection and analysis will be applied to develop Australian tariffs for key health-related quality of life measures developed for childhood.
